Shuttle’s P-chassi was created primarily to handle the huge heat dissipation of Intel’s Prescott-processorers and the entire design of the chassi is aimed towards an efficient cooling of the entire system’s components. Now, a couple of months later, we see the first P-chassi for the Athlon 64-market in the form of Shuttle XPC SN25P. Over at TechReport they’ve taken a closer look at this highly anticipated chassi based on the nForce4-chipset. “WITH EXPANSIVE INTERNALS that can accommodate up to three hard drives, a trio of temperature-controlled cooling zones, tool-free drive rails, and a robust 350W power supply, the P series is undoubtedly the pinnacle of Shuttle’s XPC chassis line. Enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting a P-series XPC for the Athlon 64, but in the seven months since the chassis’ introduction, the P series has been a Pentium 4-only affair. That all changes today with the arrival of Shuttle’s XPC SN25P.” There is no doubt that Shuttle’s experience on the SFF-market leaves a mark on their products and once again it seems they’ve managed to create yet another great product.
That the P-chassi also has proven to be quite userfriendly have made quite a lot of people snarl at Shuttle since only Intel-consumers are able to use the new chassi.
Exactly how well they’ve done you can read over at TechReport.
