The sales figures for March have now been released and the trend if pretty much the same, with a few exceptions. Spring is generally not a good season for video games consoles and it shows in the March figures. Even if Wii was the best selling of he next-gen consoles the sales went down compared to February for both Wii (from 335,000 to 259,000), Xbox 360 (228,000 to 199,000) and last-gen PlayStation 2 (295,000 to 280,000). PlayStation 3 was actually the only one who sold better, even though it wasn’t by much; from 125,000 to 130,000. This means that PlayStation 2 climbed back to the top of the list as the best selling console overall, all according to NPD Group.
