Thermalright to replace Ultra 120 with Venomous X

During Computex last summer cooling manufacturer Thermalright decided to show several new and exciting models. One of these was Venomous X that according to the first information was meant to launch after the summer. That didn’t happen but now we have some fresh information suggesting Thermalright Venomous X will replace the company’s current Ultra 120 series.

The reason the cooler hasn’t been released yet is because Thermalright has more or less completely redesigned the cooler. At Computex the cooler looked a lot like the current Ultra 120 Extreme with six copper heatpipes and both similar size and weight. But Venomous X has gone through a total makeover, but the result is yet to be seen. We at least hope that Thermalright will stick to the mirror-polished contact surface we saw at Computex.

The cooler is said to launch before Christmas, which means we should be hearing more about Venomous X very soon.
