Thermalright is a well known PC cooling manufacturer and like so many other, it has a couple of new products on display at Computex in Taiwain. The completely passive computer case Thermalright HSC-101 is on display, but since we’ve already reported about this at numerous occasions our eyes searched for something new to feast upon. Thermalright has namely displayed a replacement for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 cooler. Installed in the booth, there is a Xbox 360 console with a new heatpipe cooler inside, Thermalright TR-360, which does look a lot more efficient than Microsoft’s original cooling.
We can only assume that the cooler is more efficient than the original one, while we would also like to know more about the cooler and its other advantages. Xbox 360 is a loud console, partly because of the fans, and if Thermalright has found an aid for this there’s a crowd of 10 million people wanting one. The only thing missing then is a quieter optical drive. The problem is that the warranty expires as soon as you pop the hood.
