Notebooks of the slimmer format has become the latest fad and component maker MSI caught on early with the X-Slim series. First there were just Intel-based platforms, but later AMD and the Kongo platform was let in. MSI X410 has the same thin profile as the cousins with 14″ screen and weight of 1.5kg. The screen has 1366×768 pixel resolution fed by AMD’s integrated ATI Radeon X1250 GPU.

The graphics circuit operate together with an AMD Athlon Neo processor and RS690 chipset along with 2GB RAM and 2.5″ 320GB/500GB harddrive. The computer sports 802.11n WiFi, 1.3Mp web camera and 4/8 cell battery.

In particular, the X410’s use of the AMD 2nd Generation Ultrathin Platform makes the price attractive to a broader spectrum of users. The X410 stands out as a fashionable and high quality ultra-thin notebook without the high price associated with other ultra-thin models.

MSI X410 measures 349x234x24.5mm, which may not be that impressive compared to other more expensive solutions, but still thinner than many other similar computers.
