MSI was one of the first computer buidlers to launch budget friendly notebooks with thin profiles. The concept of thin notebooks has exploded in 2009 and MSI has, together with other major players such as ASUS and Acer, decided to cut prices of thin notebooks. This is of course a good thing, but there is a backside to it, and it all becomes very clear when you look at what’s coming next.
As previously announced Intel will launch an update for the thin CULV platform introducing new dual-core processors. That’s why the companies have decided to lower prices of its single-core models.
This could be a good time to look at thin notebooks, but at the same time there will be more power to get from the same package with Intel’s new dual-core processors.
