Tip of the day! – change the flashing indicator

The tip of the day! will be most useful to those who are annoyed by the blinking indicator in texts. The indicator can be seen in several different programs, specificly Word and Wordpad.

If you want to change the frequency of the blinking indicatoror simply or remove the blinking do it like this. 
Start the Registry editor
Start > Run > regedit
Go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

In the right field locate “CursorBlinkRate”
The default value is 530, which is in milliseconds, I.e. about half a second. Change this to -1 to remove the blinking or try other values if you like. You have to reboot for the changes to take effect.
