Tip of the day! – Create a startup disk

0

The tip of the day will show you how to create a boot diskette with Windows XP.

What many has missed with Windows XP is that you don’t have the option on the Control Panel to to create a boot disk whcih you did with Win9x. This is something you need when you ar about to flash your BIOS for either your graphic card or mainboard. This option hasn’t disappeared though, it has only been moved and masked a little.

You can simply just stick a floppy into the drive and then rightclick your floppy drive and pick Format. At the bottom you will see an option called: Create an MS-DOS startup disk. Check this and wait for the formatting to finish and you will have your boot disk.

I have a tip to share!
