Tip of the day! – Disable autorun

The tip of the day will show you how to turn off the autoplay feature with Windows XP Pro.

Many are annoyed by Windows XP stealing focus and asks you what you want to do with the disc you just inserted into your CD-player, no matter if its empty or full with music. Those who wants to disable this feature do it like this.

1. Star > Run > “GPEDIT.MSC”

2. Browse as follows: Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System

3. Locate the option “Turn autoplay off” and aktivate this.
