Tip of the day! – How to remove stubborn files

The tip of the day! shows you how to delete a file Windows XP if the file won’t allow you to remove it regularly.

Open the command prompt
(Start > Run > cmd)

Open task manager
(hit ctrl + alt + delete)
Kill th process “explorer.exe”

Delete the file
Type: (erase “path to FILE”) in the command prompt

Start explorer.exe again
(type “explorer” in Run)
