The tip of the day will show you how to minimize Microsoft Outlook to the systray instead of the taskbar.
If you want to keep Outlook running, and thus constantly checking if you get any new emails, and you don’t want it to fill up the space in the taskbar do as follows:
Start the Registry editor:
Start > Run > regedit
Go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Preferences
Locate the DWORD MinToTray, or create it, and set it to 1. If you want to disabke it simply remove it or set it to 0.
