The tip of the day! will show you how you can save some extra space on your harddrive when using Windows XP. The tip is only for those who doesn’t use the sleep mode in Windows XP. Windows XP’s sleep mode saves all information in a file called hiperfil.sys before the computer goes into sleep mode (hibernation). For those who never use the sleep mode you can turn this off and hiperfil.sys will not steal any valuable space from you. You can gain as much space as you have RAM at most. Simply go to Control Panel -> Power options -> Sleep mode and uncheck.
