Tip of the day! – Search with Google in IE

The tip of the day! will show you how to change the searchpage in Internet Explorer’s builtin search to Google.

Start Regedit:
Start > Run > regedit.exe

Gå to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
Change the values “Search Page” and “Search Bar” (only if you have toolbar) to “http://www.google.com” and “http://www.google.com/ie”

Now head for:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL
Change “” (default value) to “http://www.google.com/keyword/%s”

Then on to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search
Change “SearchAssistant” to “http://www.google.com/ie”
