Tip of the day! – Shortcut to the Device manager

Today’s tip is mainly for those who often check the status in the device manager in WinXP. For the experienced users this means a lot of clicking before you actually get there, but there is an easier way.

Start > Run > “devmgmt.msc”

Or create a shortcut on you dekstop to the Device manager.
Righclick and pick New, and then Shortcut. As target you enter:
%windir%\system32\devmgmt.msc

Name the shortcut something fitting, e.g. “Device manager”.
