Tip of the day! – WMV-acceleration with ATi-cards

The tip of the day! will show you how to activate WMV-acceleration for ATi-based graphic cards. For this to work satisfactory you need a Radeon 9600 or better.

Make sure you have an updated version of WMP10.

Start Regedit
Start > Run > regedit.exe

Search for “DXVA_WMV” and change to 1.

In Catalyst Control Center version 5.6 and newer there is a setting under Video.
