Toshiba has launched a new and pretty unique ultramobile computer, called Libretto W100. The computer has two 7″ touchscreens with 1024×600 pixel resolution each and Windows 7 promises new uses.
Toshiba Libretto W100 can stretch documents across both screens while the integrated accelerometers makes it possible to turn and tilt the computer without losing focus of what you’re doing. This will also make the computer a good e-book reader.
Instead of a physical keyboard there is a virtual keyboard that appears on the lower screen for more regular use.
Toshiba Libretto W100 builds on an energy efficient Intel ULV U5400 CPU at 1.2 GHz with 2GB RAM and 62GB SSD storage, 1 megapixel web camera, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, microSD reader and 8 cell battery (4 hours use).
The computer weighs about 800 gram with its 8 cell battery and will cost around 1,000€.
