Toshiba tones down the delay of HD DVD

We recently reported on that the launch of HD DVD will be delayed for an uncertain amount of time, most likely next year. Now one of the head consulars at Toshibas HD DVD that a launch during 2005 is possible and that the reports about the delay was exaggerated. If Toshiba will be able to keep its schedule and launch HD DVD duing 2005 it is probably the biggest advantage they have on Blu-ray which won’t arrive until next year for sure. If HD DVD waits until next year they will be getting very tough competition as it will go head to head with Blu-ray, which has been coming out strong the last couple of months.
