Transcend has now announced the unveiling of a new memory series that has been designed for the overclockers and enthusiasts of today. But unlike most of the new overclocking memories we see today, the aXeRam series is (initially at least) a series of DDR2 modules, and not DDR3. The modules work at DDR2-800 speeds with CAS4 latencies, which isn’t all too shabby as the operating voltage is the standard 1.8V. The new memory is available in kits of two 1GB modules. Transcend says that the modules have gone through thorough laboratory testing before reaching the market and have a lifetime warranty.



As you can see on the picture below, Transcend has designed a new kind of heatsink for its 6-layer PCB and FBGA packages. No price or availability at this time.
