Llano that is said to launch in June will be AMD’s first Fusion APU with four cores with a relatively powerful GPU inside. Pictures of two new Gigabyte motherboards, Gigabyte GA-A75-UD4H and Gigabyte GA-A75M-UD2H, have been posted online.
The two motherboards from Gigabyte use the standard ATX and mATX formats and comes equipped with AMD’s latest southbridge, or FCH (Fusion Controller Hub). The biggest news here is that it has a cooperation with Renesas Electronics to integrate native support for USB 3.0, which means all Llano motherboards, which means all Llano motherboards supports four USB 3.0 ports.
Gigabyte GA-A75-UD4H
Both GA-A75-UD4H and GA-A75M-UD2H comss with 1600MHz DDR3 support in dual channels and Ultra Durable III with high quality components. We also find five internal SATA 6 Gb/s and one eSATA 6 Gb/s to the front. As mentioned before the new chipset brings four USB 3.0 where two are on the back and two connects to the front of the case.
Another bonus for those longing for Llano is that the socket supports the same coolers as AM2/AM2+/AM3, which means you can use an older cooler without having to get a new mounting kit or even a new cooler.
Gigabyte GA-A75M-UD2
With USB 3.0 integrated into the southbridge the companies get one less cost to worry about, which in the end makes it a cheaper choice for the consumers. The equivalent Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 controller with two USB 3.0 ports will cost 4 to 7 dollar depending on quantity.
Many mothebroards for Llano have looked rather Spartana and the less flashy designs may very well be because the prices we hear are rumored to very competitive and attractive.
