Universal ABIT has decided to broaden its assortment by launching a new motherboard based on Intel’s 945P chipset. The board has been optimized for compatibility through both COM and LPT ports in addition to the nowadays standard USB ports, which are eight all in all. The card also comes with two PCI-E x16 slots for dual graphics cards, but one of the ports only have x4 bandwidth. Other than that the board comes with Gigabit-LAN, 8 channel sound and SATA II.
Considering that the board will cost less than $100 it feels like a potent alternative for those who wants to upgrade to Intel’s new Core 2 Duo processors.
