VIA has unleashed a new pico-ITX wonder on the world. The EPIA P700 Pico-ITX motherboard measures a mere 10×7.2cm and features either a 1.0 GHz C7 or 500MHz Eden ULV CPU, paired with the VX700 chipset sporting UniChrome Pro II-powered DirectX9 graphics. This board is different from previous pico-ITX boards from VIA as this one has the power circuitry on-board, which means that you will not need a separate circuit board like with other pico-ITX boards. It still requires an external power adapter though.
It has a single DDRII slot with support for up to 1GB 667MHz modules and one PATA, one SATA 3Gbps part for storage connectivity, Gigabit Ethernet, CRT/DVI header, COM port, 4 USB connectors, PS/2 port, 3 audio jacks, and LPC/SM Bus/GPIO pin header.
The platform will become available to developers right away, alas there is no mention of when it will become available in retail or at what price.
