VIA EPIA N10000 Nano-ITX is simply a ridiculously small processor platform. Mini-ITX is with its 17x17cm is huge compared to VIA’s Nano-ITX platform that measures only 12x12cm. About the same size as a CD case and on that surface you get a motherboard, a 1GHz EPIA N10000 processor and circuits for sound, USB, network and more. It’s pretty much impossible to make a traditional processor platform much smaller and the minimal measurements makes the Nano-ITX platform very interesting, not just for industry applications, but also to regular users. With an almost neglible power consumption and more or less passive cooling there is a lot to like with it.
At Mini-ITX.com they’ve tested VIA EPIA N10000 Nano-ITX to see if the system, despite its small size, can handle video and audio playback at decent resolution.
