VIA has hardly been the most active company on the chipset market lately, but at the same it’s NVIDIA which has more or less taken over the market where only Intel seems to be able to stand up. Now VIA has started shipping chipsets for AMD K8 and the Intel P4 platform with support for PCI Express. VIA also has plans for an integrated chipset with a DX9 based graphic circuit called Delta Chrome. This chipset is expected to arrive during the second quarter of 2006 and be called VIA P4M900, which will also be for the Intel P4 platform. Source: DigiTimes
