Video features and image quality has become even more important the last year on the graphic card market. From being almost focusing entirely on 3D performance 2D has been coming out strong as the Media Center systems has increased in popularity and numbers. They simply want to make the computer to handle video sources as good as possible so that the movie experience is kept intact and tend for an overall better image quality. At Firingsquad they’ve compared three different graphic cards from three different manufacturers to see which of them that handles video playback the best. We have representatives from NVIDIA with its PureVideo circuit, ATI is there with AVIVO and the up and comer XGI to. The result is perhaps a bit surprising and clearly shows that XGI has tuned its circuits’ video features.
