ViewSonic has been putting a lot of effort into launching new LCD-monitors with low response times. Unfortunately, to us, it has been the ordinary 19″ segment and the bigger panels has more or less been left behind. We were therefore very happy to reveal that BenQ will launch FP202W which was a 20″ widescreen monitor at relatively low 8ms. This was the world’s fastest 20″ LCD, which didn’t go well with ViewSonic’s current time hunt. It has therefore now launched, at the same time as VX922, a new 20″ LCD-monitor with a response time at ridiculously low 3ms (!).
A complete and utter humiliation of BenQ’s 8ms with FP202W and just as BenQ’s panel we’re talking about a widescreen monitor with a resolution at 1680×1050 px. ViewSonic VX2022 is a highly welcomed contribution to the LCD-market and now we just hope that the same will happen with the 23″ and 24″-segment with faster panels. At the same time it is going to be interesting to see how the competition will react to this, no the least BenQ, who has been greatly surpassed by ViewSonic with its VX2022.
