On Thursday Microsoft announced price cuts for its retail Vista packs. The price cut is expected to apply when Windows Vista with integrated SP1 arrives in stores. Vista Ultimate will drop from $399 to $319, upgrade reduced from $259 to $219. Widows Vista Home Premium will drop from $159 to $129, upgrade down from $159 to $99. Home basic upgrade can be had for as little as $59. Some markets will see price cuts already, but it’s hard to say which because of the rather vague description given by the press release.
