Nintendo has for the first time, more or less, equipped a console with an interactive operating system. A system which the user will be able to use in actively and make changes to. IGN published a video with the interface some time ago and now it’s slashdot which reports something very interesting about the OS. It turns out that Wii’s operating system is linux-based and that Nintendo will work continously with updating and expanding it. Microsoft has been working in a similar way with Xbox 360 and we pressume that Sony will do the same, anything else would be a big surprise. The really nice thing about this is of course the added value and the extra entertainment you will hopefully get from this.
Wii runs Linux and will be continously updated
