Wiinja was the first modchip for Nintendo’s latest video game console Wii. Wiinja is much like the other equivalents a chip that targets the DVD player and its functionality, making it possible to play backups, both Wii and GameCube. Nintendo has since then updated the hardware, which rendered the first chip useless. Wiinja v.2 was then released and this chip has been tested by Metku. The chip is a bit limited in its features as you can only play Wii games of the same region as the console, which on the other hand isn’t a problem if you’re indeed playing backups. Metku hasn’t just published text but also videos for how to install the chip.
