The next milestone in the development of Microsoft’s operating system Windows 7 will be the first, and only, Release candidate. Earlier rumors have stated that Windows 7 RC1 would appear at the end of February, but according to new sources that doesn’t seem to be the case. Instead it will be on April 10. Microsoft has also revealed that it will make Windows 7 RC1 available to everyone from day one when the next version is ready to be released.
This will certainly anger a group of beta testers and TechNet and MSDN subscribers that usually get to try Microsoft’s coming software before it gets released to the commoners.
Microsoft looks to be heading the right path with the development of Windows 7 where it is currently working on the last touches of build 7046, the beta that was released about a month ago was build 7000.
