Windows Media Player 11 has now been officially launched for Windows XP SP2 and through this Microsoft has now released two major updates for its operating system; first IE7 and now WMP11. The new version of WMP, as we’ve reported about before, comes with a new user interface, but also a lot of internal updates. It will be a lot easier to share media around the home now through Windows Media Connect and for the American market there is also support for the music store Urge. WMP11 has several new functions, while at the same time Microsoft has tuned pretty much everything since the last version of WMP. Those who wants to try out Microsoft’s new media player can download the player from Microsoft’s website.
