Windows Vista Build 5308 launched by Microsoft recently is a so called “enterprise CTP” (Community Technology Preview), which means that it wants companies to test the new operating system. What makes this version extra interesting is that Microsoft has announced it to be “feature-complete”, I.e. all the basic properties and features that Vista will contain is available. Until the final launch of Vista the only tweaks left to do are with the user interface, performance and similar. Two of the new features available now are Sidebar, has appeared in a previous version though, and Welcome Center. Both of these features seems to be ready and at PC Mag they’ve written a short article and published a bunch of screenshot from Vista Build 5308.
