Windows Vista is now officially done and it has sent out a press release which sets the launch date for the anticipated operating system. The most important is that all of the coding is done and that the final version has been sen out to be manufactured for both storage media and downloading. Windows Vista will become available for companies on November 30, while the regular consumer will have to wait until January 30, 2007. This puts an end to the numerous delays Microsoft has declared for its operating system and now we’re looking forward to seeing a final version on the market to see how well it has done with the extra time they needed.

Microsoft claims that Windows Vista is the most stable client platform it has launched and this is mainly because of the efficient job it has done with evaluations and testing of the operating system’s beta versions, where the community and all beta testers should be given credit.

“We did a study of all critical issues that affected Windows XP SP2 between November 2003 to September 2006 and found that the vast majority of these issues would either not affect Windows Vista at all or would have been reduced in severity due to the changes we’ve made. We know that even though Windows Vista is a more secure operating system it’s not impenetrable, and there will always be people looking for flaws. We’ve worked hard to make their job difficult.”

In other words, in a few months we will see Microsoft’s new operating system on the shelves, but already today WinSuperSite has published the first parts of a massive series of articles about the RTM (Release To Manufacturing) version of Windows Vista.
