X1800 overclocks like no other

ATi has  been working hard with tuning the R520-architecture and has managed to push the frequencies higher than ever before. During its event in Ibiza recently it had invited some of the world’s foremost overclockers, Sampsa, macci, etc., to more or less squeeze as much as they possibly could out of X1800. Noone really doubted that the card would overclock well, but what do say when you hear about frequencies at 860MHz at GPU (600MHz default) and 1880MHz at memories (1400MHz default). This was done with liquid nitrogen of course. We haven’t seen any figures so far though, but you an read a long range of wild guesses at xtremesystems, but we wouldn’t be surprised if we will see some new 3DMark-records very soon.
