X800GT – new performance/buck champion?

X800GT might just be the next choice for people hunting for graphic cards in the sub $200 category. The first rumours started over a year ago, but back then the card was rumoured to be a competitor for nVidia’s 6800GT. But it is more likely the card that will slap 6600GT.  X800GT is equipped with 8 pixel pipelines, 6 vertex pipelines and a VPU at 470MHz. The memory can be 128, 256 or 512MB with 256bits interface working at frquencies up to 490MHz. The card only exists as engineering samples so far thus the final product may look a bit different.
