Microsoft has denied any price cuts with Xbox 360 since day one, but that hasn’t stopped stores in the UK from lowering the price of the Core unit. Previously we’ve seen a price cut to £189 from £199, but now several stores have gone so far they are selling the unit for only £149 ($292), which is even lower than the recommended price of a Wii; £179. These are not official price cuts, but for some reason British game stores have been lowering the price of the Core version. Although, the Premium version has remained at £279 and doesn’t seem to be in need of any price cuts. Previous reports have also revealed that most consumers pick the more expensive version for the extra value.
