Xbox 360 goes Dolby

Xbox 360 is as expected the first gaming console that offers true HDTV resolution, but despite that it would be nothing without good sound to complete the experience. Just as with the first Xbox console Microsoft has been working with Dolby which now has announced that it has equipped Xbox 360 with technology to get Dolby Digital 5.1 sound from the games but also decode DD5.1 sound from movies which is played on the console. It seems like Microsoft hasn’t jumped on to any new technologies with Xbox 360 and most likely it will not be able to handle DTS, which we all missed already with the first Xbox console.
