Xbox 360 is still the only available console from the next generation and it has soon passed a whole year since Microsoft launched its newest Xbox. This means that there has been lots of time for modders and other enthusiasts to get their hands on the console and spawn an idea or two. And now a new Xbox 360 mod has appeared, perhaps the most extensive and impressive we’ve seen so far. The name of the project pretty much says it all, Xbox 360 Laptop. Benjamin J Heckendorn is the name of the talented modder that has created this project which is just one out of many he has done.
Xbox 360 Laptop is simply an Xbox 360 console fitted into a laptop, with a monitor and keyboard. But there is more to it than just moving the components to a laptop chassis. Ben has namely made his own laptop chassis in aluminum, modified and integrated a 17″ HD LCD and water-cooled the entire system.
The project took three months to finish and the result is mighty impressive. He hasn’t held back here and what the gentleman who ordered the laptop has payed is something we’d prefer not to know. Ben has now published a thorough and quite entertaining article about the project which is filled with loads of pictures and videos.
