Xbox 360 has finally gotten an official price so we don’t have to walk around feeling guilty over how much money we have to save. Just as expected there will be version of Xbox 360, but with a bigger difference than expected. The cheaper version comes without harddrive or memory card, a regular controller, no wireless, no Xbox Live!-membership and only standard A/V-cables. The more expensive version however comes with a lot of goodies. For $299.99/€299.99/£209.99 you get: However if you pay up $399.99/€399.99/£279.99 you get quite a bit more : *as long as the campaign goes on And you will of course be able to expand your experience with a set of accessories: For those who wants to store music, videos and you progress in games if you chose cheaper version. Necessary if you want to be able to save your progress and not have a harddrive. For those who hates wires. Makes it possible to continue playing when you are about to run out of batteries. For you wireless accessories. Even more stuff for people who hate wires. Allows you to communicate with your friends through Xbox Live! Simply a remote control. A necessity however if you want to make your Xbox 360 a complete multimedai solution. For both HD and regular SD-signals. Europe Only. For both HD and regular SD-signals. North America Only. For those of you with a TV that supports VGA-signals. To summarize we can surely say that the first version is primarily for the younger ones. no harddrive or even a Xbox Live! Silver-membership. If you really want to be able to utilize the power of the console the more expensive version woulod be the clever choice, since only purchasing a harddrive would eat up the price difference. You won’t be able to play online with your Xbox Live! Silver though so if your short on cash ad need one now you can just buy the cheaper plus a memory card, since you will have to pay for online play anyway. No digital video outputs and no HD-media support. Wheter the HD-meda support, in the form of HD-DVD, will show up later remains to see. It would be very fitting if it would arrive somehere around the launch of PS3. The console will be launched during “the holiday seasons” which most likely means Thanksgiving. Source: Microsoft
