Xbox 360 has a lot of similarities with a PC, but many applications like chat and similar services need a keyboard to work well. Microsoft has now shown that it is listening to its users as these have been requesting a better input device than the video game console’s controller. It has namely decided to launch a QWERTY keyboard for the Xbox 360 controller that is simply attached to the lower portion of the controller in the headphone/data port. The keyboard is primarily to be used with the thumbs and has backlighting with all keys. Engadget reports that the keyboard will be launched during the summer, but there is no price as of today.

This is suppose to be a more convenient alternative to a full scale keyboard and should give Xbox 360 user a bit better usability, especially with the new chat functions that will be introduced with the coming update.
