Xbox 360 will within a few days be revealed to the public for the first time. But already this last weekend Microsoft has had an unofficial releaseparty with a group of branch people. Despite that they most likely forbid anything similar to a camera it was pretty much unavoidable that information and pictures would leak out. This time it went fast, thank God for digital cameras, and at Engadget they’ve published three different pictures varying from of the console to close ups on the controller and the specially designed DVD/Media Center remote for Xbox 360. Now it seems to be no doubt on what Microsoft’s gaming console will look like and as you can see on the picture you can have it both lying down and standing up, just as expected. You can also make out the “harddrive holder” on one the shorthand sides that most likely will not be a standard accessory. The remote indicates that Xbox 360 will have a strong connection to Microsoft’s Media Center-software and just as today’s Xbox capable of more than just videog games on your TV. Exactly what and how many “multimedia”-functions Xbox 360 will have is still uncertain. This new picture of the remote is the first to carry the Xbox 360’s logotype, a small sphere with an ingraved X. Appearantly this logotype will also act as a button. The tension is starting to really build up before MTV’s Xbox360-show this week that hopefully will supply us with answers, but probably also even more questions. Source: Engadget
