Early reports about the sales figures for last year’s Christmas shoppings have now started to appear and one of the most popular hard gifts has truly been the new generation of video game consoles. RegHardware has now come across some sales figures from the American market during the Christmas shopping and it seems Microsoft managed to sell the most during November/December. According to reports about 2 million Xbox 360 consoles were sold in the USA from the start of November up until Christmas. During the same period Nintendo sold 1.8 million Wii consoles and Sony 750,000 PlayStation 3 consoles.
Wii is thus not far behind, despite its late launch date, November 19, where it missed out on important sale time. Xbox 360 at least stands up well on the American market, a big contrast to the Japanese, and we’re eager to see how things will develop the upcoming months.
