XFX started as late as January to sell graphics cards using AMD’s ATI graphics processor but has already made a reputation with exciting solutions and creative thinking. Much like the rest XFX launched its first Radeon HD 4770 just recently and according to AMD’s wishes it was held back to reference specifications. XFX is working on new versions of Radeon HD 4770 though and the first will sport a memory upgrade.
XFX is planning a 1GB model of Radeon HD 4770, which ships with only 512MB GDDR5 normally. According to the picture below, found in XFX Radeon HD 4770 marketing, reveal a new product box for a card that will double the stake.
Unlike XFX’ reference card, the 1GB card will get an X-shaped box, like the top models of the Radeon HD 4890 series, but it still looks to operate at the same frequencies. XFX hasn’t commented on the picture, but it shouldn’t take long before more information surfaces.
