Zotac is one of the graphics card manufacturers to unveil a graphics card based on the G98 core, and as you probably know G98 is no high-end chip. It comes as no surprise that Zotac has designed the card for HTPC usage, where 3D performance is not that important. Just as the G92, G98 remains in the GeForce 8 series. The card is namely called Zotac 8400GS 256MB GDDR3. The clock frequency of the core is 600MHz, while the memory runs at 1,600MHz. The 65nm core consumes very little power, and with three interchangeable I/O brackets, it will be able to fit inside even the most crowded cases.
Two of the brackets sports an HDMI output for a complete HTPC specification. There is no DisplayPort output on any of the brackets though, but there will probably be other cards sporting this.
