Microsoft launched a new version of the Zune media player a while back and there’s more to the second generation Zune than just the new design; new components. First of all, Microsoft launched a flash memory model which simply uses flash for storage instead of a mechanical harddrive and this made an impact on the design, it’s much slimmer now. Over at RapidRepair they decided to take a look under the hood of Zune 2 and published a guide on how to disassemble a Zune 8GB. An interesting article for those who wants to see the inside of Zune 2 and especially if you’re thinking of doing some coroner work yourself.
