The project “One Laptop Per Child” is something we’ve brought up more than one time here at NH and the most important part of this project is the development of a laptop that will only cost $100 to buy. This laptop is intended to be spread around to children that don’t have any possibilities to familiarize themselves with computers and their functions, all over the world. Now there should be a working prototype of the 100-dollar-laptop which is intended to be demonstrated at UN’s technology conference and even though there is much work still to be done, the production could get kicked in to gear towards the end of 2006 or the beginning of 2007.
