AMD unveiled its coming Puma platform a week ago. This would in turn use the new mobile processor Griffin. Griffin is a 65nm processor that shares some features of the coming K10 architecture, for example, the integrated memory controller will operate at a separate voltage. AMD has now revealed some more details about its coming processor during the Microprocessor Forum 2007. Griffin will be Rev. G and sport twice the L2 cache of previous models (1MB). The new, integrated northbridge also has a HT link and the entire processor is modular to reduce the power consumption as much as possible.
Japanese PC Watch has published quite a lot of information about the new processor and even some delicate such. They’ve also come across some slides from AMD that reveal quite a lot of goodies.
