The latest story about AMD Phenom FX has now been served by the Inquirer, and what a story it is. It tells the tale of an AMD Phenom FX processor overclocked 3.0 GHz, paired with two Radeon HD 2900 XT running CrossFire and overclocked to 830/900MHz, GPU and memory respectively. Using nothing but air cooling the system completely obliterates the current 3DMark 06 records and leaves nothing but broken hearts and souls in its trail as it scores 30,031 points. We find this information a bit hard to believe and even though we know that Theo lost the pictures in a tragic theft last week, we certainly need proof of this. AMD Phenom have been rumored to do quite well in the CPU test, but this is a bit too much.
