AMD VP Henri Richard resigns?

0

It seems that the VP of marketing and sales at AMD, Henri Richard, has resigned from his post and will effectively leave the company September 8th. The story over at Hexus.net says that Richard himself handed in the resignation and that AMD has accepted it. This will thus take effect just two days before AMD will launch its new server processor based the K10 architecture, also known as Barcelona. AMD has been unable to keep up with Intel after its rebirth with the Core architecture, and been losing quite a lot of money over the last three quarters. Richard was one of CEO Hector Ruiz’ closest men and he will surely be missed by the people at AMD. No word on who will take his place.
