We keep hearing more and more about AMD’s coming graphics circuits and it’s not just the flagship R600, which was recently caught on camera. The budget circuit RV610 and the mid-range equivalent RV630 are starting too look very interesting if we can trust to the new information posted by VR-Zone. Even if R600 will settle for a 80nm process AMD will use the latest 65nm technology for making its RV610/RV630 circuits. This should result in considerably lower manufacturing costs and power consumption, which is all good. Except from the manufacturing process the memory interfaces of the various budget models have been revealed.

These will not have a fat and expensive 512-bit bus but it starts off with 64-bit for the RV610 series and this is doubled with the mid-range series RV630, 128-bit. The RV610 series will rely on either GDDR2 or GDDR3-based memory circuits, while RV630 can be equipped with GDDR2, GDDR3 or GDDR4. Several models are expected to appear in April.
