When Jobs and Wozniak decided to launch Apple they did it without knowing that they had chosen a name that collided with the name of a record company one of the world’s most popular rock bands had founded. After a lot of legal battles they reached an agreement where Apple could continue using the name and make computers as long as they didn’t enter the music market. Apple then launched iTunes and iTunes Music Store which gave new life to the discussion. After many, many years they’ve now reached an agreement and Apple will be able to continue with iTunes. It all ended with each party paying its own fees and by the looks of it we will see a lot more Beatles at iTMS now.
